Time management is something that everybody should work on throughout all high school years. Having tests, projects, etc. is already enough to worry about, but many people decide to do extra -curricular activities and sometimes it can just be too much on someone’s plate.
A big part of time management is organization. To keep myself organized, I make a schedule/calendar to show me what upcoming tests, projects, or events are soon. Many people just go with the flow and do not worry about past or future tests, projects, or events. This is not a way to keep your self on top of everything and it also results of stress.
Every teenager deals with stress at some point. When I have too much extra-curricular activities going on and heaps of schoolwork due, I tend to just drop everything and cry. This is not a mature way to handle stress and I know that nothing will ever be accomplished.
Distractions can also become an interference with time management. Perhaps the main distraction in a teenager’s life is a cell phone. This piece of technology keeps me from studying or completing homework. I know all teenagers would deny this fact, but majority of the time cell phones are the cause of incomplete home works or failing tests.
Time management is a challenge and it is all teenagers’ job to not procrastinate and work on becoming a little more organized during high school.
